Is Gandalf older than Legolas
Gandalf's physical body is around 2000 years old, while Legolas' age is hard to determine but he is likely between 2000 and 3000 years old.
The whole reason why Gandalf got the dwarves and Bilbo on their mission to Erebor was because he feared an alliance between Sauron and Smaug. While it was unlikely that the dragon would serve Sauron, a collaboration was more than possible in Gandalf's mind (and his mind tended to be spot on).And he died in the year 2941. That's 171 years later. So I guess the crucial. Question is how old was Smaug when he conquered the Lonely Mountain. And first appeared in the annals of middle Earth's.
