The strangest one I know is the WW1 Tsar tank or Lebedenko tank. A crazy giant tricycle with the main turret some 8 metres in the air plus a cannon in a side pod on each side of the 12 metre wide cabin. Powered by two Maybach airship engines the Russians had captured it was certainly the most powerful tank of WW1.

Was the T-34 better than the Panzer 4 : Had superior turret in the side armor. The t-34 was vastly more mobile while the panzer. 4 was far easier to use. Finally it's difficult to rank one of the two significantly. Higher than the other.
