Is it better Yes, on most counts. Better graphics, sounds, nicer UI. More crops and related equipment, more to do with crops with production chains.

Is FS17 better than FS22 : FS22 is my favourite, mostly for the improved sounds (compared to FS19) and the increased land-management compared to FS17 and greatly improved animal models, not to mention a number of small "nice to haves" that have been implemented.

Farming Simulator 22 is graphically and technically more stable than 23. Graphically, the maps are more realistic affording that rural setting. The inclusion of well-rendered cars and towns gives it an appealing urban feel. The farms, machines, animals, and harvesting process is much more visible compared to 23.
